Week 1-5: Rhino Training
Week 1 - Introduction to Rhino
Dive into the basics of Rhino - Interface, workflows,essential tools, transformation and editing processes etc
Week 2 - Euclidean forms with relevance to Design projects
Learn to create a project right from scratch ( 2D Drawing/Sketch).Learn annotation,rendering and file management.Hand held guided activity for creating a euclidean project.
Week 3 - Free forms in relevance to architectural projects.
Model projects like Confluence park by Flato Architects and learn to create fluidic forms using Rhino 3D. Practice through resources and files provided by Mentor.
Week 4 - Free/Organic forms using Sub-D modelling
Learn the concepts of Sub-D Modelling.Explore the concepts and apply them through a Guided Recreation of Heydar Aliyev Center by Zaha Hadid.
Week 5 -Panelling and Morphing Tools
Explore Panelling Plugins for Rhino. Understand point and curve attractor through simple examples and exercises that you can implement.
Week 5 - Anchor Project- 1
Create your own design project to add to your portfolio using a mix of techniques taught during 5 weeks.
Week 6-11 : Grasshopper Plugin Training
Week 6 - Introduction to Grasshopper
Get introduced to the grasshopper plugin available for Rhino. Understand the basics of its interface and the workflow for visual scripting. For the final activity, re-create the 3D model using grasshopper.
Week 7 - Logical Methods and Computational Applications
Deep Dive into visual Coding, logics behind computational Design and the current growing applications.
Week 8 - Data Lists
Understand data as lists and how to read lists (Lists as Data reader and holder in grasshopper). Explore item index, data tree path etc.
Week 9 - Data tree and Data Tree Management
Understand data trees and how to read them. Explore Data tree paths and data structures through param viewer and reading tree using draw tree. Get introduced to data tree management like flatten,graft,reverse,simplify,flip matrix etc. Explore 2 Guided activities on using lists and data management.
Week 10 -Introduction to Lunchbox (plugin for grasshopper)
Bonus Plugin - Lunchbox ( Food4Rhino). Learn how to use lunch box in grasshopper for creating panels on a surface.
Week 11 - Point attractor and curve attractor
Learn to manipulate data to automate generation of forms.
Week 12 - Final Project Submission and Revision

Explore your own design project and apply techniques used. Use grasshopper and Rhino to create your projects ranging from pavillions to stadiums/Airports!

Who is studying this course?
While there were ton of YouTube videos from where I can gain the skill of the tool, but they lack basic practical applications. I would like to suggest all beginner's to take this course who are starting with parametric design.
Impressive and well designed course, with only relevant information. The design exercise at the end was a practical hands-on approach, and it was helpful to apply the concepts we had learnt.
I was always interested in parametric design but don't know where to start. Through this course I got a good idea on parametric design and I already started using it in my projects. The one to one discussions are always a plus point.

In this course you will learn Rhino + Grasshopper from the very beginning to advanced use. It doesn’t matter if you are someone who has no prior knowledge of 3D modeling and want to start learning from the start.Alternatively, if you’re already somewhat experienced, and you want to know methods to enhance your design workflows we also cover advanced techniques to model complex shapes or how to automate tasks.
